This tasty plate crown has classic french lines. The fork blades look modern so I'm guessing this bike is not very old. Any thoughts?

  1. This crown is made up from three steel parts - the tubular column section and two pressed plates, hence the crown is a fabrication rather than a casting.
simple in the extreme, they often had extra decorative "legs" barzed on to them.

I think that the track bike used by Jacques Anquetil to break the World Hour Record, the first time round, and purportedly built by Helyett, used this type of crown
